Origin Iran, format 200 × 297 cm — a Moud made entirely by hand. That is roughly 5.94 m² of floor, about 6.6' × 9.7'. Moud rugs are known for their fine Herati pattern.

Materials and construction

Stated material: cotton warp, new wool. The rug was hand-knotted throughout. Pile height is given as 5-7mm.

Size and placement

The rug is rectangular. At this size it anchors a living room as the central surface.

Knot density and quality

The stated knot density is 400,000–499,999 knots/m². At this density even small-scale motifs can be worked out cleanly.
