Hand-knotted in Iran: a Shiraz of 175 × 250 cm. That is roughly 4.38 m² of floor, about 5.7' × 8.2'. Shiraz rugs come from a nomadic weaving tradition.

Materials and construction

Stated material: new wool. The rug was hand-knotted throughout. Pile height is given as 5-7mm.

Where it fits

The rug is rectangular. At this size it anchors a living room as the central surface.

The stated knot density is 300,000–399,999 knots/m². At this density even small-scale motifs can be worked out cleanly.
