Origin India, format 198 × 303 cm — a Tabriz made entirely by hand. It covers approximately 6 m², or 6.5' × 9.9'. Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.
Materials and construction
Stated material: cotton warp, new wool. The rug was hand-knotted throughout. Pile height is given as 10-12mm.

The rug is rectangular. At this size it anchors a living room as the central surface.

The stated knot density is 300,000–399,999 knots/m². Knotting at this density allows detailed drawing and soft transitions between colours.

It is catalogued under Weiß / beige. Handmade rugs always show slight colour shifts from knot to knot — that is a mark of hand work, not a defect.
